Join the Hendricks County Master Gardeners for a workshop on Winter Sowing (with Focus on Native Plants), the third in our 2026 Gardening Workshop Series. The workshop will include a presentation on the history of winter sowing, where to source native seeds, explanation of the winter sowing process using storage containers, the need for stratification/scarification, ongoing care of the seedlings, how to divide plants/move to larger pots (if needed), and transplanting into your garden. It will also include a demonstration on preparing a storage container for use in winter sowing. Each participant will plant a small storage container with native seeds to take home. This workshop is open to the Public. The workshop will count as 1 hour of Purdue Master Gardener Education for Master Gardeners.
COST: $20.00 for EACH ATTENDEE. Space is limited to 30 participants, reservation required.
